Death of a retired officer

Information received from Bob Richardson....

Thomas McMahon, who joined the force in 1949, after completing his National Service following the war. Initially he joined the LMS force, and then the new British Transport Commission, but I assume he must have been one of the first PCs when the BTP started. He was mainly based in the London area. He retired from the force in 1985, having worked as a DS in the Special Branch from 1977. After retiring from the police, he worked for the MOD and finally retired in 1993, moving to Cornwall. He died peacefully on 17thAugust, aged 90.

The funeral will be held at Truro Crematorium on the 21st September at 3.30pm, should anyone wish to attend.
