I was fortunate to serve in BTP between 1980 and 2014 and worked across the country at various stages during my career. I can honestly say that I enjoyed almost all of my days in the force and have some wonderful memories. On retirement in 2014, I undertook a variety of training and consultancy work with some excellent former BTP colleagues around the country and abroad. In 2017 I joined the MOD as a Security Vetting Officer and moved to the Cabinet Office in the same role in 2021. In March 2024 I retired completely and now keep busy volunteering with the Samaritans, NARBTPO duties and being a member of the British Transport Police Superannuation Fund Management Committee.
I have been a member of NARBTPO since retirement from the force and was elected as Chair at the AGM in May 2025. I am lucky to work with a very supportive committee team and look forward to continuing in the role until the end of my tenure.
